What are my Chances?
Hi, I am halfway through my junior year and I plan to take the MCAT in May 2018. I have a 3.91 cumulative GPA and a 3.86 science GPA. I am going to study really hard for the MCAT but it would be nice to know the range I should be aiming for with my current GPA. Also a question on the MCAT, will I be able to apply on time if I take it in May, since the score comes out mid June? Thank you in advance! Non-clinical Volunteering
So I've just started volunteering at a rehabilitation center, where I typically play cards with elderly patients there and at an Alzheimer's home where I do similar things. Would these both be considered non-clinical volunteering? If not then what kinds of non-clinical volunteering should I be looking for? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Behavioral neurology and general psychiatry?
I know behavioral neurologists typically treat or manage psychiatric issues associated with organic, neurological disorders such as psychosis from alzheimers for instance. But can a behavioral neurologist manage psychiatric symptoms of disorders of unknown etiology? Or those without a visible neurological basis such as PTSD or schizophrenia? Non-trads, how are you doing it?!
Just need a positive place to share thoughts and hear about the obstacles others are having to overcome (and how they're dealing with them) in this grueling process of GPA repair. I work 40+ hours/week as a tech support lead at a well-known cable/internet company (Friday-Monday). I am in school full-time, busting my a** trying to complete this DIY post-bacc - while maintaining a 3.7 (barely). I am doing Alzheimer's research on Tues. and Wed. while also volunteering for the Alzheimer's... Non-trads, how are you doing it?! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Can I get into Dental School?
Hello, I dumb-goofed this semester. I am a sophomore in college and currently have a 3.3 GPA. This semester, I took a light course load for several reasons. I pledged into a professional pre-health fraternity, my mom got diagnosed with Hepatitis B, my father was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimers, my close friend from home passed away from cancer, I was in a 5 year relationship and just went through a break up, and I was so socially lonely that I didn't manage my time between my social... Nonclinial volunteering?
Hey everyone, I have plenty of clinical volunteering hours (Children's Hospital and County ER) and I am looking to start nonclinical volunteering. There is a house for elderly Alzheimer's patients that has volunteers basically just spend time with the residents doing fun stuff like art. Would doing these kinds of activities be considered nonclinical volunteering? Thank you (Source: Student Doctor Network)
