ConclusionsCorrelation between children's and parents' HRQoL scores is higher in the clinical setting compared to the school setting. Implementing this questionnaire on a large scale would allow us to identify settings which need awareness-raising initiatives to improve parents' knowledge about their children's health.Key messagesParents ’ overestimate children’s HRQoL in the school setting, particularly in the Physical Health domain.Children ’s HRQoL misinterpretation might determine less targeted actions to improve their wellbeing and highlights the need for raising parents’ awareness about obesity and its effects on children.
