The No Worries Trial: Efficacy of Online Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills Training for Chronic Pain (iDBT-Pain) Using A Single Case Experimental Design

Chronic pain frequently co-occurs with heightened negative emotions, such as fear, anger, worry, and low mood.25,33,89,95 Over time negative emotional states become an increasingly prominent feature of chronic pain.53 Anxiety and depression are co-morbid in up to 80 percent of people with chronic pain,2 –4,80 and there is a heightened prevalence of harm avoidance, characterised by excessive worry, fear, and pessimism.39,63,64 Up to 70 percent of people with chronic pain experience sleep problems,22 and compared to the general population, quality of life and well-being are reduced.
