Long-lasting immune response to a mild course of PCR-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection: A cohort study
To the Editor – We read with great interest the paper by Wells et al. (2020).1 Wells et al. investigated seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in a cohort of 431 non-hospitalized UK twins (median age = 48; 85% female), who systematically reported the presence or absence of COVID-19 symptoms on many occasi ons through time via an ad-hoc study app. Their results indicated that 51 of the 431 individuals (12%) were seropositive with IgG response to both N and S proteins 4-fold above the background of the assay.
