66-Year-Old Man With Recurrent Hypotension and Flank Pain

A 66-year-old man with hyperlipidemia and erectile dysfunction presented to the emergency department with bilateral flank discomfort and dizziness that started on the day of presentation. He denied any history of fever, cough, chills, dysuria, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, hematemesis/melena, dyspnea/chest pain, or exposure to any known allergens. He did not have any history of coagulopathy, immobilization, or active malignancy. He was diagnosed with influenza B a week before his presentation, which had been managed as an outpatient with complete recovery before his current presentation.
