Challenges in menopausal care of immigrant women

The menopausal transition is a normal life phase and occurs on average between 45 to 55 years of age [1]. There are a number of physical and psychological symptoms that can accompany the menopausal transition especially vasomotor and urogenital symptoms, and mood changes. The menopausal transition and postmenopausal life have been linked to increased risks of chronic non-communicable conditions which can be mitigated by following a healthy lifestyle including regular exercise and a balanced diet [2].
