Measures implemented in the school setting to contain the COVID19 pandemic: a rapid scoping review, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews

Objectives: To identify and comprehensively map the evidence assessing the impacts of measures implemented in the school setting to reopen schools, or keep schools open, or both, during the SARS ‐CoV‐2/COVID‐19 pandemic, with particular focus on the types of measures implemented in different school settings, the outcomes used to measure their impacts and the study types used to assess these. Methods: We conducted a rapid scoping review to meet these objectives. The goal of a sc oping review is to identify and map the available evidence ( 2 External 0 0 0 Anderson 2008 false https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD013812/references#CD013812-bbs2-0064 true false%>; 2 External 0 0 0 Munn 2018 false https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD013812/references#CD013812-bbs2-0108 true false%>). Scoping reviews are particularly useful in areas with emerging evidence, as they provide an overview of a body of literature with regard to key concepts, the types of studies available, and related research gaps ( 2 External 0 0 0 Munn 2018 false https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD013812/references#CD013812-bbs2-0108 true false%>). As a precursor for a systematic review, they are particularly helpful in identifying or categorizing interventions, outcomes, or populations of relevance ( 2 External 0 0 0 Munn 2018 false https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD013812/references#CD013812-bbs2-0108 tr...
