Expression of hepatitis B surface antigen in liver tissues can serve as a predictor of prognosis for hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma patients after liver resection

This study aimed to explore the potential utility of using HBsAg protein expression in normal liver tissues as a prognostic factor for HCC patients who underwent liver resection. Study design: The study enrolled 100 HCC patients with seropositivity for HBsAg. The liver tissues were collected, and tissue microarrays were constructed. The expression of HBsAg in liver tissues were measured by immunohistochemistry (IHC). Relevant clinical data and follow-up records were collected for analysis.
