In this study, we evaluated a requirement for PAD2 in the antibody response in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), a T and B cell-driven murine model of rheumatoid arthritis, and in the protective antibody response to murine influenza infection. Using PAD2-/- and PAD2+/+ mice on the DBA/1J background, we found that PAD2 is required for maximal anti-collagen antibody levels, but not collagen-specific plasma cell numbers, T cell activation or polarization, or arthritis severity in CIA. Also, we found that PAD2 is required not just for normal levels of persistent hemagglutination inhibiting antibodies but also for full protecti...

This study involved 105 patients with RA starting tumour necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi) or tocilizumab (TCZ). Patients were classified ac-cording to BMI as normal-weight and overweight/obesity. The clinical response to treatment was as-sessed by Clinical Disease Activity Index (CDAI) 6 months after initiation of bDMARDs. Serum adi-pokines (leptin and adiponectin) were determined using a commercial immunoassay kit in samples ob-tained before initiation of bDMARDs and after 6 months of treatment.RESULTS: A correlation was observed between BMI and disease activity and between BMI and serum adipokines. Sixty percent of pati...

ConclusionEZH2 bound to the miR-22-3p promoter and inhibited miR-22-3p expression by upregulating H3K27me3 level, thereby promoting CYR61 expression and inducing the proliferation, migration, and invasion of RA-FLSs.

Tuberculosis (TB) is the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent. The estimated total global TB deaths in 2019 were 1.4 million. The decline in TB incidence rate is very slow, while the burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) is exponentially increasing in low- and middle-income countries, where the prevention and treatment of TB disease remains a great burden, and there is enough empirical evidence (scientific evidence) to justify a greater research emphasis on the syndemic interaction between TB and NCDs. The current study was proposed to build a disease-gene network based on overlapping TB with NCDs (ove...
