Feed America's kids. Strengthen supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP)

Millions of kids in America are facing hunger, and the pandemic is making it worse. Food banks are fighting to keep up with demand, and poverty is rising. Many of America ’s families are financially struggling to make ends meet due to unemployment or decreased workforce hours. Some families have to go without food so they can keep a roof over their heads. SNAP feeds millions of children, but the current funds are not enough due to the pandemic crisis. We strongly e ncourage Congress to increase SNAP benefits by at least 15%in the next coronavirus stimulus package (Feeding America, 2020; Jorss, 2020; Morello, 2020; Paroling& Wimer, 2020).
