430 Validation of Left Atrial Mid Cross-Sectional Area, a Novel 2D Measure of Left Atrial Remodelling, Using 3D Echocardiography in a Cohort of Healthy Subjects

Left atrial remodelling is complex as there is both increase in size and differential shape changes. Increased left atrial (LA) cross sectional area (CSA) is a novel parameter reflective of LA remodelling and recently associated with increased risk of cardio embolic stroke. The aim of our study is to validate 2 dimensional measures of LA-CSA using 3D echo imaging in a cohort of healthy patients.
