Determination of levels of markers of systemic inflammation in patients with chronic bronchitis in combination with concomitant gastroesophageal reflux disease

Conclusions: Patients with CB with concomitant GERD during remission demonstrated increased levels of TNF-α and CRP in the serum. During exacerbation of CB there is a further significant increase the levels of TNF-α and CRP in the serum, which in concomitant GERD in patients is respectively +32% and +74 % higher from the initial values in the remission phase.
