10.4 comparison of implicit and explicit measures of psychiatric symptoms after ketamine treatment in adolescents with major depressive disorder

MDD is a significant pediatric health problem associated with morbidity and mortality. Prior studies have shown that ketamine is an effective treatment for adults with MDD, but little research has been conducted with pediatric MDD populations. In adults, implicit association tests (IATs) have demonstrated sensitivity to mental health changes as correlated with explicit measures on psychiatric scales. Comparing explicit and implicit measures following ketamine treatment in adolescents may illuminate the breadth of treatment response.
