Tasks and interfaces in primary and specialized palliative care for Duchenne muscular dystrophy – a patients’ perspective.

In the last two decades, advances in pediatric medicine have led to significantly higher survival rates in children with chronic life-limiting conditions. The prolonged life expectancies introduce new challenges for families and caregivers since the increased survival rates are associated with new morbidities, diverse psychosocial requirements and the need for novel concepts of care and quality of life.
