Artificial intelligence: aid in early oral cancer diagnosis at the dental clinic

Early oral cancer diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. However, the literature continues showing cases that begin treatment in the advanced stages. In dental practice, a routine should be established: full mouth examination to identify changes that lead to early diagnosis. There are references that professionals and students are insecure in their diagnoses. This was the opportunity to develop an auxiliary device to the diagnostic exam, based on artificial intelligence (AI), identifying early signs.
