A Letter to Editor Regarding the Recent Publication, “A Practical Guide to Assess the Reproducibility of Echocardiographic Measurements”

Recently you published an article titled “A Practical Guide to Assess the Reproducibility of Echocardiographic Measurements” by Bunting et al.1 First, I agree with the definitions of reproducibility and repeatability. However, with respect to tailoring these concepts to echocardiography, it is much more important to define the three a spects of such studies: (1) The variance of echocardiographic measurements can be related to the different ultrasound machines/measuring packages, different scanners/measurers, physiologic change of the subjects being scanned, and the measurement itself.
