CONCLUSION: Structured post-seclusion/post-restraint debriefings with patients constitute a possible intervention to reduce coercive measures, but as of now there is little scientific evidence for the efficacy. Incorporating them into complex therapeutic treatment concepts for ward programs appears to be meaningful.
