Comparison of Short-Term Quality of Life between Percutaneous Device Closure and Surgical Repair via Median Sternotomy for Atrial Septal Defect in Adult Patients.

CONCLUSIONS: In adults over 18 years of age, the quality of life after surgical repair or percutaneous device closure of ASD improved significantly. Compared with surgical repair via median sternotomy, percutaneous device closure has a more significant effect on the improvement in some aspects of people's quality of life.
