Quality of life following minimally invasive hysterectomy compared to abdominal hysterectomy: A metanalysis

Hysterectomy is one the most commonly performed gynecologic procedures1. The indications for performing a hysterectomy are broad, and include benign conditions such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, fibroids and endometriosis and malignant conditions in cases of early stage endometrial and cervical cancer2. There are various surgical approaches to hysterectomy, which can broadly be divided into Minimally Invasive (MIS), Abdominal Hysterectomy (AH) and vaginal hysterectomy (VH). MIS includes both robotic and laparoscopic approaches.
