Uvula Edema and Diarrhea in an Eight-Year-Old Girl
An 8-year-old Pakistani girl, previously healthy and with no relevant family history, ∖was brought to the Emergency Department (ED) with diarrhea (a total of five watery nonbloody stools during the last 10 h), associated, in the last 4 h, with a rapidly progressive sialorrhea and difficulty swallowing, without respiratory distress. She was not taking any medication and had no pas t history of allergies or new food introduction.
