A Randomized Controlled Trial of TrialTALK: A Designed Conversation for Cancer Treatment Decision Making (GP705)

Decision-making conversations in the cancer clinic are nuanced, emotionally tense, crucial conversations which impact clinical care and patients' and families' lives. Oncologists must discuss news of prognostic significance, treatment options, their relative efficacy; elicit preferences, and make a recommendation. TrialTALK is a designed conversation with an accompanying pen and paper diagram, co-created between an oncologist and patient, that organizes and facilitates goal concordant discussions in the cancer clinic.
