Presentations given by patients at medical meetings1 have increasingly highlighted how certain medical terminology may be offensive or trivialize the implications of medical procedures performed on them. Similarly, in the realm of prostate cancer treatment, the use of the term “castration-resistant” has been highlighted as being descriptive yet pejorative.2
