Rebutting the IACP ’s Spurious Defense of Qualified Immunity

In conclusion, the IACP ’s defense of qualified immunity is, at best, misleading, counter‐​productive, and short‐​sighted, and at worst, full of outright misrepresentations. Nevertheless, I can’t help but pity whatever poor soul was charged with the task of actually writing that statement — it’s hard to de fend the indefensible.
