A giant symptomatic placental chorioangioma managed with a histoacryl injection

We report a case of a giant chorioangioma causing fetal cardiac failure at 26+3 weeks’ gestation, which was treated by embolization of the feeding vessels. We utilized a mixture of n-butyl cyanoacrylate (nBCA, Histoacryl®) and iodized oil (Lipiodol®) as an embolic agent. Fetal hydrops resolved in 4 weeks, and the cardiac size and function normalized 8 weeks after the em bolization. A healthy male baby was born at the 37+5th gestational week by cesarean section.
