CONCLUSION: Data suggest different roles of opioidergic system and their antagonist in pain control and mood in PTSD. However, further investigations need to be done in order to reveal the role of endogenous opioidergic system and opioidergic antagonist system as a mediator in PTSD patients suffering from acute or chronic pain. CONCLUSIONS: MSG administered parenterally to the higher dose to adult rats affects the immunoreactivity of S100β protein in PAG. Phenotypic changes of the studied cells may indicate reactivity of glial cells and increased expression of the studied protein whereas a decrease in their number may result from the increased protein secretion into the extracellular space or cytotoxic death of glial cells. All subjects gave written informed consent for participation and publication. Results and Discussion TGF-β signaling in NK cells is associated with: phosphorylation in SMAD2 and 3, inhibition of IL-15-induced metabolism/proliferation, simultaneous downregulation of CD44, CD49e, and Eomes, and upregulation of CD16 and CD49a expression (7, 10). SMAD family member 4 (SMAD4) belongs to the SMAD family of transcription...

In this report, a 35year old woman a known case of cardiac fibrosarcoma was admitted to the emergency ward with abdominal pain and distention, bloody diarrhea, and recurrent nausea and vomiting. Jejuno-jejunal invagination was diagnosed at laparotomy along with tumoral involvement of the left ovary. Histopathological study showed that there was a fibrosarcoma compatible with the earlier diagnosis of primary cardiac tumor. We have described some aspects of diagnosis and treatment of this rare cause of intestinal intussusception.

Conclusions Any gastrointestinal symptom in patients previously treated for cutaneous melanoma should lead to accurate research for metastases. We propose to use at follow-up abdominal CT scan in asymptomatic patients when the primary tumor has poor prognostic factors such as advanced stage or incomplete resection.
