Introducing Being Beautifully Bipolar

For the millions of people who suffer from bipolar disorder, it is often a misunderstood malady. While the basics of bipolar are pretty well understood by most — characterized by changing moods from mania to depression — the in’s and out’s of living with bipolar disorder are more difficult to grasp. And if you live with bipolar disorder, you often feel out there alone in the world. How can people live like this? Well, no longer. I’m pleased to introduce Being Beautifully Bipolar, with Elaina J. Martin. “I would like to focus on my life as an example of someone living with predominantly bipolar disorder, featuring both depression and mania, but also including the topics of OCD and anxiety disorder,” says Elaina. “I see this blog as a mix of personal anecdotes as well as my thoughts on things in mental health news.” In a former life she was a fashionista who styled celebrities and models, worked on New York Fashion Week shows, and had a fashion radio spot and television gig. But all that changed in 2008. Learn more about Elaina here. Please give Elaina a warm Psych Central welcome over at her blog, Being Beautifully Bipolar, now!
