225. Baby Town: A Role-Playing Board Game and Curriculum to Highlight the Challenges of Teenage Parenthood in a Destigmatizing Manner

Hexacago Health Academy is a summer program in which youth explore the social ecology of public health issues using game design and gameplay. In the game design segment on teenage pregnancy, young people noted that strategies to reduce teenage pregnancy may unintentionally promote stigmatization of teenage parents. This project describes the design and subsequent testing of a role-playing board game designed by youth about the daily challenges of teenage parenthood delivered with a curriculum developed by teachers.
