Standardization in forensic genetics —A multi-faceted challenge in Poland

Extremely dynamic development of forensic genetics requires cooperation of the professional bodies and institutions in order to make the best use of technological progress for the public good. The need for the high quality of DNA testing for justice and law enforcement in Poland forces the necessity of standardization in this area based on norms and legal Polish as well as European requirements. Among them the most crucial is the implementation of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard and the fulfillment of the requirements of the DAB-10 (PCA) document.
