The Sport of Triathlon

Focus on You Wellness Lecture The NIH is pleased to present a presentation on the sport of Triathlon. If you are a runner, cyclist, swimmer, or looking for a unique physical fitness challenge, be sure to come and learn more about the sport of triathlon. You will learn the background on the sport of triathlon, how to choose and register for a race, what to expect on race day, equipment needed, nutrition consumption, rules and regulations, and both beginner and intermediate level training programs. Additionally, the lecture will explain why triathlons are rapidly growing across the nation, including several video clips of actual races, and conclude with a question and answer session. The speaker, Tiffany Archuleta, is a graduate student at University of Texas, Austin, an Army veteran, and member of the University of Texas and Team Red, White, and Blue Triathlon teams. She is a Certified strength coach and a triathlete for over 5 years.
