M274 a patient with x-linked agammaglobulinemia (xla) and normal serum immunoglobulins
A boy with chronic cough, recurrent respiratory infections, and poor growth, but normal serum IgG, IgM, and IgA was diagnosed with a leaky phenotype of XLA. When there is clinical suspicion for possible B-cell deficiency, obtaining serum immunoglobulin levels alone may not be sufficient.
