TechTool review of ICU Trial by ClinCalc at  and Journal Club App by Peripheral Brain LLC on iPhone, iPad and Android     ICU Trial – iTunes - Android – Website versus Journal Club - iTunes - Android - Website This week I’m going to try something a little different.  It’s been suggested to me (by @srrezaie) that two apps – ICU Trials and Journal Club – are both aiming for a similar goal. They both summarise trials/research for us to keep up-to-date with current best practice. So, are they both worth investing in, or is there one clear winner? Design and User Interface The apps focus on delivering essentially dry information so readability is very important to keep your interest. ICU Trials – the design is basic but very clear and easy to read.  There were no huge problems when using it and it all ran smoothly.  When grouping trials by date it would be more sensible to have most current trials at the top, rather than starting back in 1983 and making you scroll to the bottom. Journal Club – this has a similar design to ICU Trials – let’s be honest, there are only so many ways to present text on a screen.  Getting around this app is a bit easier though because it’s been arranged into specialty, date and disease in a manner that is easier to find what you’re looking for. Journal Club has the edge on design and user interface, but it’s a close call. Screenshots ICU Trials on iPhone 1 expand(document.getElementById('ddet1655733075...
