Learning points for cliniciansFibrosing mediastinitis (FM) is characterized by a proliferation of a dense fibrous tissue within the mediastinum.FM symptoms are nonspecific including cough, dyspnea, pulmonary infection and hemoptysis.Diagnosis of FM is generally easy on the chest computed tomography scan.In not calcified FM, it ’s necessary to exclude malignant disease such as lung carcinoma.
