Calorimetry scans at 2000 °C/s, sufficient to suppress crystallization of glass, were used on samples subjected to combined nucleation-growth treatments. Nuclei densities were obtained from the analysis of melting-peaks using the Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Yerofeeyev–Kolmogorov equation. The estimated densities and rates of nuclei agree with results obtained from microscopic studies and conventional differential scanning calorimetry.
