Molecular engineering of 3D crosslink network led to form a stable ion conducting membrane for the commercial standard. In this article, we developed a biocompatible, transparent, flexible and thermally stable ion conducting membranes for an electrochemical application. Structural, thermal, mechanical and electrical studies were carried out for the solid thin film, the decline in bulk resistance of solid/gel membrane shows the formation efficient 3D crosslink network, confirmed from small-angle X-ray scattering. Membrane shows excellent compatibility with solid and gel network - no evidence of dendrite formation and re-crystallization of halides salt in optical micrographs. Structural stability and transport properties of ion conducting membranes were discussed from a fundamental point of view. The reduction was noted in the quasi-crystalline and overall crystalline nature by enhancing the 3D crosslink network and was further analyzed quantitatively. Effect of solid and gel interfacial junction successfully shows the enhancement in electrical properties which open up the new way in developing ideal membrane for commercialization.Graphical abs...
