Abstract
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has joined the movement of big data by establishing a new research initiative to collect comprehensive health data from over 1 million U.S. citizens to better understand and address the health of the nation. As part of a focus supporting the Precision Medicine Initiative, the NIH aims to accelerate health and medical science and deliver on the promise for more personalized care and treatment.
