Four new phenylethanoid glycosides from Ternstroemia gymnanthera and their analgesic activities

Structures of the isolated compounds were determined by the comprehensive analyses of the physicochemical properties and spectral data (1D NMR, 2D NMR, and MS). Compounds 1–3, 8 and 10 showed significant analgesic effect with the inhibition rates ranging from 56.2% to 65.3% at a dose of 50 mg/kg, that was superior to the standard drug aspirin and was equivalent to indomethacin.Graphical abstract
