Abstract 17: Racial and Ethnic Differences in Outcomes in Older Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke [Concurrent Session I Session C: Young Investigator Award Finalists Oral Abstract Presentations]
Conclusion: White older ischemic stroke patients have the highest 30-day mortality rates of any race/ethnicity group. By one year, only Asian patients have differentially lower mortality risk. In contrast, black and Hispanic patients have higher readmission risk to one year.1
