Can we prevent chemo related cardiac damage?

I think this study is very exciting- Enalapril and carvedilol for preventing chemotherapy-induced left ventricular systolic dysfunction in patients with malignant hemopathies: The OVERCOME trial. J Am Coll Cardiol 2013; DOI: 10.1016/j.jacc.2013.02.072. Available here. In patients with haematological maligancies pretreatment with enalapril and carvedilol appears to ameliorate the reduction in LV ejection fractionBUT it is only a small study with a small change in EF so I guess we need  a larger study but certainly appears promising!sadian
