Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation Individual Education Scholarships The Individual Education Scholarships were established by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation in 2004 to provide financial assistance for nursing professionals earning academic degrees.  These scholarships support nursing professionals who are advancing their careers through academic achievement.  Scholarships of $500 are awarded to HPNA members and may be used for but are not limited to: tuition, books, computer software, and supplies that are related to nursing education. Four scholarships are offered each year.  They are directed to nurses at all levels of nursing education from entry level through graduate degrees (i.e. Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate). The scholarships are competitive and winners are selected from the applicant pool by the Individual Education Scholarship Review Committee consisting of HPNF Board members and HPNA members. Scholarship checks are sent directly to the awardees.  To be eligible for the scholarships, candidates must: Hold a current HPNA membership Be providing hospice and palliative care nursing Be enrolled in a school of nursing or doctoral program, be formally matriculated, in good standing, and have successfully completed at least one semester of coursework Submit a complete Individual Education Scholarship Application including all required attachments: letter from the academic progr...
