2013 ARTrust/Mylan Anaphylaxis 3rd/4th Year Fellowship/Junior Faculty Research Award Deadline April 15, 2013 Objective To support the development of an academic research career, this award aims to provide support for research being conducted by individuals who have completed their first two years of allergy/immunology training, and who will be entering their third or fourth year of fellowship training or their first or second year of a junior faculty appointment in allergy/immunology starting July 1, 2013. Funding is to support investigators involved in education and basic and/or clinical research on the mechanisms and treatment of anaphylaxis. Sponsors Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Education and Research Organization, Inc. ARTrust and Mylan Amount This two-year award will provide $50,000/year for salary and lab expenses. The lab expense budget is limited to $15,000/year. Award term is for two years starting July 1, 2013. Funds may not be used for institutional indirect costs. Eligibility This award is directed toward a third-year fellow-in-training (MD, MD/PhD or DO) or to new allergy/immunology junior faculty whose initial faculty appointment as an instructor or assistant professor was after July 1, 2010. Applicants must be either certified or on track toward certification by the ABAI. Applicants may conduct their research at an allergy/immunology training program in the United States. Applicants must be AAAAI members.
