Request for Proposals: National Marfan Foundation/Canadian Marfan Association Faculty Grant Program The National Marfan Foundation (NMF) is pleased to partner with the Canadian Marfan Association (CMA) to support Marfan syndrome and related disorders research.  Applications are being requested for two-year grants for basic or clinical research.  The grant program is designed to provide financial support for faculty studying any or all disciplines involved in Marfan syndrome and related disorders.  Grant awards are based on proposal evaluation by the NMF Scientific Advisory Board with the approval of the NMF Board of Directors.  The NMF and the CMA will co-fund one two-year grant for $100,000.  The NMF will award an additional two-year $100,000.  The CMA Grant Program is funded by the Temerty Family Foundation.  The principal investigator must hold an MD, DO, PhD, ScD, DDS, DVM or equivalent degree.  The investigator must have proven ability to pursue independent research as evidenced by original research publications in peer-reviewed journals and hold a position of Associate Professor or above.  Work can be performed in the U.S. or internationally.  Applications must be submitted via the NMF website.
