Mo1349 ENDOSCOPIC FINDINGS IN SEVERE YELLOW FEVER PATIENTS PRESENTING WITH ACUTE UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL BLEEDING: A RETROSPECTIVE CASE SERIES STUDY

The incidence of yellow fever in Brazil has been low during the last decades, but since December of 2016, an epidemic yellow fever has resurged in this country. In the severe form (15%-60%), gastrointestinal hemorrhage can be present, with a high mortality rate (20-50%). This is one of the first studies reporting the causes of gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with severe yellow fever. We aimed to describe the main endoscopic findings in patients with severe yellow fever in whom an emergency upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (UGE) was performed.
