Weber receives grant to study cognitive screening for persons with spinal cord injury

(Kessler Foundation) Researchers have discovered a high prevalence of deficits in learning and memory in persons with spinal cord injury. Kessler researchers will lead a multi-site study to develop and test a cognitive screening tool. 'We anticipate that this study will yield a cost-effective assessment tool that will allow cognitive screening to become part of routine assessment and follow-up of individuals with spinal cord injury,' said Dr. Weber, 'enabling individuals to receive the care they need to achieve maximal independence.'
