Relationship between consumption of raw garlic and handgrip strength in a large-scale adult population
Garlic-derived organosulfur compounds have numerous potential benefits (e.g. antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects) on human health. Although these functions might be related to the onset and progression of muscle strength decline, no studies have explored the relationship between garlic consumption and muscle strength in the general population. The aim of this study was to investigate whether raw garlic consumption is related to handgrip strength in a large-scale adult population.
