Relationship between diabetic neuropathy and sarcopenia
Diabetic Neuropathy (DN), which is characterized with peripheral and autonomic nervous system involvement, is the most common complication of diabetes. Sometimes, clinical DN neurological involvement may be observed, and sometimes it may have a different pattern. It was shown in large-scale cohort studies that ca. 50% of diabetic patients might face DNs in a period of their lives [1].
