Convenient detection of single contaminant in dismantling site is very important to evaluating environmental pollution caused by single component during dismantling process and environment supervision. Herein, a novel chemiluminescence (CL) assay was constructed to detect ubiquitous pollutant bisphenol A (BPA) in dismantling site of E-waste based on surface charge change of cationic gold nanoparticles arising from the interaction of BPA and aptamer. The detection limit for BPA is 6.2 × 10−2 ng/mL, which is far lower than the requirements of Chinese Health Standards (0.05 mg/kg). The sensitivity can be attributed to the strong affinity between anti-BPA aptamer and BPA, and the direct and sensitive signal response of nanoparticles' microstructure for CL reaction. The high specificity of affinity between anti-BPA aptamer and BPA led to high selectivity of BPA detection, thus resisting the complexity of real environment. So, this analysis was successfully applied for the detection of BPA in the surface soil of E-waste dismantling site.
