Study: Glyphosate Safety Report Contains Plagiarized Content From Industry Group

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A study released by the Greens/European Free Alliance in the European Parliament on Jan. 15 found that Germany's Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (FIRA) report on the safety of glyphosate contained sections that had been plagiarized from reports conducted by the chemical companies that sought approval to use the chemical. The study concluded that FIRA's plagiarism "is at odds with an independent, objective, and transparent assessment of the risks," associated with glyphosate.
