171. A Process Evaluation of A Fitness Curriculum To Meet Physical Activity Policy Requirements: A Pilot Study

In 2007, Oregon passed a quality physical education (PE) policy (House Bill 3141), requiring elementary and middle school students receive at least 150 and 225 minutes of physical activity each week, respectively. To assist with implementation, the American Heart Association (AHA) worked with the Salem-Keizer Public Schools to assist teachers in understanding policy requirements, exploring potential curricula, and planning for policy implementation.
