201. Eating Disorder Screening In Gender Minority Adolescents And Young Adults

Body dysphoria experienced by gender minority youth (GMY) may increase the risk of disordered eating behaviors. Limited research suggests that adult transgender individuals may be at a high risk for developing eating disorders (EDs). The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q), a widely used self-report measure to screen for ED psychopathology, provides a global score as well as subscale scores on the severity of dietary restriction and concerns for eating, shape, and weight. No study to date has examined using the EDE-Q to screen for EDs in GMY.
