#10 Portuguese Inguinal Hernia Cohort Study (oral presentation)

Rationale: Inguinal hernia repair with mesh has been documented to be associated with chronic pain in a minority of patients. However, the individual prediction of the development of chronic pain is still not possible and different countries expressed differences in the incidence of this complication. The factors leading to these differences have still not been identified.
